Since 1976 Ski Tote products have made skiing more fun. We always try
to have a good time, even at those long, lonely, boring tradeshows. But mostly we just love to ski and board.

Always without desire we must be found,
If its deep mystery we would sound;
But if desire always within us be,
Its outer fringe is all that we shall see.

Kevin Kelly after ski trip
Kevin Kelly taught me to ski over a decade ago - from bunny slopes to black diamonds in ten days at Vail. In 2000 we combined our friendship and our passion for skiing by acquiring Ski Tote. Even before we closed the deal, Kevin was showing signs of what would prove to be ALS. Kevin died June 15, 2006 after fighting the disease for six years. Kevin was a Vietnam Vet, a co-founder of Vietnam Vets Against The War, a faithful husband, a loving father, an honest business partner, and a dear friend. Having served as Treasurer for United Cerebal Palsey for the last two years of his life and in various positions with UCP in the years before, Kevin asked to be remembered by donations in his name to UCP. Personally, when I heard the news I headed out on the ocean as I do at times like these. Later, I hoisted a toast to this wonderful Irishman at Pat O'Briens on Beale Street in Memphis where he made his home. (Kevin is pictured above on the patio at Pat O's.) -Wade Lovell
